Today, we use the term “artificial intelligence” as a learning and interpretation system that has more intelligence than influential people with advanced intelligence and is artificially developed, supported by detailed databases with advanced learning and knowledge levels, and complex hardware and software to show decision-making features. We can define it as a part of the systems that combine and perform their skills with knowledge-based processing models.
Criteria for artificial intelligence systems
1) Functionality; It should be foreseen that the systems designed for a purpose can perform the functions for which they are designed.
2) Generating; Manufacturing processes should be determined according to the areas where the systems will be used and they should be produced in accordance with a plan.
3) Being designable; The designs of the systems should be technologically appropriate and possible technological structure by the engineers who make the design.
4) Being marketable; The areas where the artificial intelligence system will be used should be well chosen and made ready for production in accordance with the market researches.
Robots and Artificial Intelligence
We can talk about robotics as a field within the fields where artificial intelligence is used. In today’s technology age, mechanical and especially robotic controlled devices that can be made by computers are used to perform extremely important technical tasks that can be associated with mechanical as well as artificial intelligence to be assigned in technical and dangerous areas. In robotic controlled areas, artificial intelligence programming techniques are used to program robot behavior controls. If there is a device that needs to be developed and controlled by an engineer, the devices to be developed are referred to as devices containing robot technologies. If we look at the Autonomous Robotics expressions; In fact, with this statement, it is claimed that robots can develop and control themselves autonomously in the age of advanced technology. Autonomous robots can adapt themselves to different environments thanks to the artificial intelligence technology developed, and they can also interpret the environment at the highest level they can adapt to by completing the information they can obtain in these different environments.
These artificial intelligence and application techniques are made possible through Evolutionary Robotics, where robots that can adapt to the environment can actually mimic the learning processes of organisms and/or robot population applications.
Artificial Intelligence Applications
In artificial intelligence technology, artificial intelligence can be developed with expert system studies; It will be possible with the ability of robotic application coders to predict environment state expressions well and to provide a set of condition expression rules to be given to a robot. For example; If a robot has a hole in front of it, coding will be needed that requires the robot to stop and then maneuver to pass the hole.
If we are talking about a series of applications involving a robot’s ability to make decisions on its own and solve events with its own skills, then we should not be talking about a long process from more complex concepts, from the robot’s experience to the learning ability. In order to handle the applications in this process, it will first be necessary to allow the robot to memorize the information coming from the external environment by sampling it with a set of neural networks placed on the robot. In fact, equipping the robot with such a neural network will help determine the robot’s targets by working towards detecting some life forms in the environment that the robot can detect. Thus, the data received from the environment will be stored in the robot brain for later processing. While the robot is in the same environment or in a different environment; if he encounters the information expressions he has learned before in the environment he is in, he will exhibit the behaviors he has learned before. Thus, the result to be obtained from here; It is interpreted in the sense that processes such as the robot’s continuous learning and interpretation of events in order to create designs for applying the expressions and rules that it has created itself will continue. The multiplicity of these educational and instructive processes makes us think that robot intelligence can come to a very advanced level in advanced technology processes and that artificial intelligence functions can be developed and used in many areas in today’s era.
